Casio Verizon-Bound g'zOne Boulder Ruggedized Phone Review

Post by Ahmad » Jul 29, 2008 Views: 42272

Casio Verizon's new g'zOne ruggedized phone. The Boulder shares the same dirt, shock, and water resistance as earlier models but adds push-to-talk (PTT) over its EVDO Revision A-based 3G access for instant conversation during a nature hike or field work. Also a centerpiece is a digital compass that appears on the clamshell phone's external LCD for quicker trail navigation and the option of using the phone as an LED-based flashlight.

GPS navigation is expectedly standard on the Boulder, while a 1.3-megapixel camera, media player software, and a microSD slot for media storage expand the feature set into the mid-range.

No launch details have been announced, though the phone is photographed with Verizon branding and has been spotted in past leaks with hints that it will be ready during the summer.

I like the design of this Smartphone and the best feature is that it is water resistant!!!
