Brilliant Bridges arround the World

Looking at these bridges from a distance, one wonders what they're used for. Why would someone build a bridge over a road with nothing on it? It's too big to be a footbridge, and you certainly can't drive on it.

These are animal crossings, designed to reduce vehicle-animal collisions. First introduced in the Netherlands, these bridges have caught on globally and are slowly being introduced by countries that see the benefits of preserving wildlife. This is not only beneficial from an ecological point of view, but also from a financial point of view. The costs of damages incurred in a collision along with roadway cleanup and emergency response is astronomical (in the billions, actually). Even if those benefits don't seem important to you, most of these crossings are quite beautiful

interesting to see that in many countries they did not cut trees for roads, they just made underpass there.
