What does 'Troponin negative' imply?

Post by ar2st » Nov 10, 2007 Views: 4620

Q. Would cardiac angiography still be necessary, if the test for Troponine is negative?

A. Troponin negative means that you did not have a heart attack. You can still have narrowings in the heart tubes that have not totally blocked. So depending on the clinical scenario and other tests, you may need angiography.
