There are rumors that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 may come with the fully flexible even foldable screen. The industry believes that the commercialization of foldable smartphones will be possible in 2016. When flexible display technology is being used in e-books and laptops, which are substituted for publications, the concept of tiny portable PCs and e-books will be realized in reality.
Though the company has not officially revealed any further detail, however, according to some rumors, the upcoming Galaxy S7 flagship will be getting this latest technology. Samsung's R&D department has been testing foldable display technology for quite some time now, and it seems like this new technology will kick start many display technologies to come about in the near future.
Apart from that, LG is also up to set competition for Samsung as it is also bringing flexible smartphone with transparent display soon probably in 2017 and according to the company, "The development of display technology that creates a virtual space on glass is already completed, and even a promotional prototype is available. However, it will take time until the product becomes commercialized due to mass production according to demand and stable supply."
