Sony has recently announced its latest four Xplod in-dash CD Receivers.All the models are compatible with the Radio Data System (RDS) technology, allowing compatible FM radio stations to send artist and song information.Sony CDX-GT640UI and Sony CDX-GT540UI receivers have a USB input and auxiliary input on their front that allows users to fully integrate and charge connected compatible iPods and iPhones.Other two also have the same compressed sound quality improvement technology built-in, as well as MP3 and WMA file support, with navigation options that make large libraries easy to navigate. Satellite and HD radio modules can also be easily integrated into either head unit. The main difference between the two is the CDX-GT640UI's option of both green and blue key illumination as well as three preamp subwoofer outputs, while the CDX-GT540UI only has blue LEDs and two preamp outputs. The USB connection can be used to charge compatible iPods and iPhones.Sony CDX-GT340 and GT240 have a front auxiliary input and cme with a remote control.The GT340 has blue key illumination and supports two preamp subwoofer outputs while the GT240 lights up in red and has one preamp output.Sony CDX-GT640UI and Sony CDX-GT540UI have price of US $160 and $140 respectively.Sony CDX-GT340 and CDX-GT240 have price $100 and $80 respectively.All the models will be available in September 2009.
