Motorolla EM35 Tri-Band Music-Centric Slider Phone - Reviews

Post by sheeza » Nov 10, 2008 Views: 1859

Motorolla EM35 Music-Centric Slider Phone: The new handset will feature a 2-megapixel camera, GPRS/EDGE connections (but no 3G!) and Bluetooth v2.0 with support for A2DP compliant devices. Powering this behind the scenes is a 500MHz processor running the Linux Montavista OS. As this is a music oriented phone we expect it to include a fully featured music player as well as an RDS equipped FM radio. Motorola EM35 is a slider phone work on Tri-band GSM network.

On the surface it looks like a more colourful version of it’s gun-metal grey brother and given that little information about the VE66 is available it is difficult to say for sure. The features are largely the same with the most notable differences being that the VE66 has a slightly larger screen, a 5-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and supports 3G – but these are all largely unconfirmed.

Despite the similarities it seems that the EM35 is indeed a different model to the VE66 and we would expect it to be so, particularly given as it is being heralded as the successor to the E30 – we do find it a little strange though that the featureset hasn’t been more radically updated, especially given the update in terms of form factor.
