Grated bottle gourd (lauki) 2
Warm water as required
Ghee 1/4 cup
Sugar 1 cup
Screw pine 2 tsp
Crushed almonds-pistachio 50 gram
Reduced whole milk (khoya/mawa) 250 gram
Cooking Directions
Boil grated bottle gourd in warm water.
When tender, sieve it and keep aside.
In a pan heat ghee and add sugar and screw pine, cook for a while.
Add boiled bottle gourd and cook on high flame.
Add in almonds and pistachio.
When sugar is completely dissolved, add reduced whole milk and cook for 3 minutes.
Tasty lauki halwa is ready.
