Kunal Khemu: Acquired A Completely Different Look For 99

Post by shaka » Oct 18, 2008 Views: 4540

Kunal Khemu started his career as a child actor appearing in the television serial Gul Gulshan Gulfam in 1987. Later on, he went on to appear as a child actor in films such as Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke (1993) Raja Hindustani (1995) and Zakhm (1998). He received great praises by the audience and critics for his role in Zakhm. He made his debut as a leading man in the 2005 film Kalyug which was both critically and commercially successful. His 2007 releases Traffic Signal and Dhol were moderately successful at the box office. His first 2008 release Superstar has not done well at the box office, but his acting was critically acclaimed.

Actor Kunal Khemu has acquired a completely different look. Currently, instead of his usual long tresses in 'Kalyug', 'Dhol', 'Traffic Signal' and 'Super Star', he can be seen sporting a short crop. He tells, "I wanted to change my appearance for my next film '99'. Hairstylist Suraj, son of Bharat & Dorris, has designed this new look for me".

But why small hair now, especially when people identify him with long hair? "I have sported the long hair look for long. I needed it at that time because I was very young and it helped me to look mature. But now I can cut them short and play with the look because maturity has come with age. I don't need a support like this to look older ", he laughs. Aditya Shastri and Anupam Mittal of People Pictures are producing the film '99'.
Girls Don't disturb me, I'm already disturb enough.
