Did you know your body has a natural mechanism for clearing your nose. Push your tongue against the top of your mouth and place a finger between your eyebrows and apply pressure. Hold it for about 20 second and your sinuses will begin to drain.

A stuffy nose, otherwise known as a nasal congestion, sinus infection, or simply the sniffles, is caused by inflamed blood vessels in the membranes lining the inside of your nostrils due to either colds or allergies. While this can be life-threatening to newborns, for most adults, the condition is simply discomforting. However, there are many home and alternative remedies that might do the trick in clearing a stuffy nose. In order to have clean and sinus allergy free, there are steps to achieve that. First, determine the cause of nasal congestion; is it because of colds or allergies? Second, consult with your pharmacist and ask for the right medicine and these are home treatments for stuffy nose: avoid cigarette smoke, use decongestant combined with an anti-inflammatory analgesic like ibuprofen, nasal irrigation, steam, if stuffy nose was caused by allergies, an over-the-counter antihistamine should be your first line of defense (if dealing with pollen allergy, long antihistamine works fine but if it’s caused by pet dander, it is the time to get rid of your pets). If you suffer stuffy nose during winter, humidifier is the way. Take the right action when allergy sinus symptoms take over. Knowledge is really power in finding allergy sinus pain relief that works. Not just for temporarily but for permanently.
