One of Dell’s most powerful (and most expensive) gaming laptop, “XPS M1730“, has just got a graphical upgrade. For a $3,399, it now comes with two 512MB nVidia GeForce 8800M GTX graphics engine in SLI mode. Incase you don’t remember, the old version (which costs $700 less) is packed with dual 256MB GeForce 8700M GT instead. According to the company’s perfomance team, this upgrade delivers about 49% perfomance increase (13,500 score in 3Dmark06 benchmark) over its predecessor.

The new XPS M1730 premium gaming laptop will hit the store in February 20th. Customers who previously purchased the 8700M GT version will soon be able to upgrade onto 8800M GTX.
