Canon PowerShot SX230 HS Cemara Design and FeaturesDespite packing a massive 14x optical zoom (f/3.1 to 5.9, 28-392mm at 35mm equivalent), the SX230 is slim enough to fit in your pocket. The camera measures 2.4 by 4.2 by 1.3 inches (HWD), and is much thinner than the average superzoom camera. The back of the camera looks like most other Canon compacts, with a dedicated Playback button, Video Recording button, direction pad and scroll wheel for navigating menus, but the dial mode lets you select program, aperture, shutter, or manual shooting modes. If you want point-and-shoot convenience, there are also scene modes, an automatic mode (with face detection) and an easy mode which disables all the buttons so you can't accidentally change settings. The SX230 comes in black, blue or what Canon calls "Red," but is actually hot pink, as you can see in the slideshow.
