Worlds Hairiest Man
Yu Zhenhauan

This walking bear rug is 26-year-old Yu Zhenhuan of China, and 96 percent of his body is covered with hair. Yus pubelike pelt sprouts from everywhere but his palms and soles, to the tune of 41 hairs per square centimeter. Whats worse, his mane actually made Yu sick. His locks snaked so far into his ear that they not only caused him earaches and nausea but also cut off a third of his hearing. Luckily, a recent operation cleared out the old growth, which could have spelled trouble for Yus current career as a rock singer.

Worlds Smallest Waist
Cathie Jung waist is about the same size as a regular jar of mayonnaise. Shes been wearing a corset every day for the past 12 years, and she now wears one 24 hours a day. I probably have around 100 of them, says the corset queen. Corsets were hugely popular in Victorian times (during the 1800s), when they were often strengthened with pieces of whalebone. Corsets pinch the waist, and if worn for a long time they can permanently alter the shape of the waistline. The wasp-waist look went out of fashion in the 1920s, but Cathie says that plenty of folks still enjoy it today. A lot of people think its wonderful, she says. But some people think its ridiculous, perhaps theyre jealous because theyre overweight. Cathie says her tiny waist has not caused her any health problems.

Worlds Most Elastic Man
Garry Turner, of Caistor, Lincolnshire, England, stretched the skin of his stomach to a distended length of 15.8 cm (6.25 in) on the set of Guinness World Records: Primetime in Los Angeles, California, USA, on October 29, 1999.
Garry has a rare medical condition called Elhers-Danlos Syndrome, a disorder of the connective tissues affecting the skin, ligaments and internal organs. With this condition, the collagen that strengthens the skin and determines its elasticity becomes defective, resulting in, among other things, a loosening of the skin, and hypermobility of the joints. In more serious cases, it can cause the fatal collapse or rupturing of blood vessels.

The ultimate in multi-layered tattooing is represented by the chainsaw juggling, unicycling, sword-swallowing Lucky Diamond Rich (Australia, born New Zealand), who has spent over 1,000 hours having his body modified by hundreds of tattoo artists. He began by having a full collection of colourful designs from around the world tattooed over his entire body. But not content with stopping there, Lucky next opted for a 100% covering of black ink, including eyelids, the delicate skin between the toes, down into the ears, and even his gums. He is now being tattooed with white designs on top of the black, and coloured designs on top of the white!

The Tree Man
After a severe Human Pappiloma Virus (HPV) infection, Dede Koswara, a 35-year-old Indonesian fisherman, was dubbed the tree man because of the gnarled warts all over his body. He first noticed the warts on his body after cutting his knee as a teenager. Over time, Dede was sacked from his job, deserted by his wife and shunned by neighbors as the horn-like extensions covered much of his body and stopped him working. He has two children. After his case received widespread publicity, donations from the public and government help allowed him to get treatment, and in 2008, six kilos of warts were surgically removed from his body.

The Wolf Man
Hypertrichosis is a medical condition that causes excessive growth of hair in areas where hair does not normally grow. It may be present over the entire body, or you could have it in only one or more areas. Some individuals will be born with the condition and others will develop it later on in life. Congenital Hypertrichosis is very rare. In fact, it is so rare that there have been only 50 verified cases since the Middle Ages. On 2008, the press interviewed Pruthviraj Patil, an 11-year-old Indian boy whose face and body are covered with hair. He rarely leaves his home village in India because of the cruelty of strangers. Pruthvirajs family has tried homeopathy, traditional Indian Ayurvedic remedies even laser surgery without success, and hes now appealing to doctors to help him find a permanent cure since even after laser treatment the hair grows back.
