He became a film distributor after opening Studio Green, which was responsible for producing and distributed a few of his own and his brother Karthi's films. He is the eldest son of actor Sivakumar and married actress Jyothika Sadanah in 2006, after being engaged for several years. In 2008, he began Agaram Foundation, which funds for preventing early childhood drop-outs.
