Storage Media Art Reflecting Information
The whole world was totally reliant on these physical media formats like floppy disks, cassettes and VCR tapes. Now we are at a time where they are obsolete, replaced by countless invisible data files.
Elements of people's lives are stored on the disks and although that data can never be accessed again, artist Nick Gentry preserve some of that for viewing.

His work reflects how information used to be personal to the format it was stored on rather than shared online like today. To highlight this he has even kept the hand-written labels on for posterity.
