Sony has launched two new Giga Juke Hard Disk Drive Hi-fi systems. The NAS-SC55PKE and NAS-E35HD will enhance the users movie watching experience. Both the latest systems can record music from CD, vinyl, cassette, radio and MP3 players. Besides, they are equipped with an iPod dock to stream the music from it.

The NAS-SC55PKE is a high-end complete multi-room music system having the capacity of 80GB, which can store up to 40,000 music tracks ripped at up to 16x speed. That means a 60-minute CD can be copied in less than 4 minutes. Also it can transfer files to portable players at up to 50x speed. The system is further compatible with Linear PCM, MP3, Window Media Audio and ATRAC and hence can store music from CD, radio, external sources such as vinyl, or a home PC too.

On the other hand, the NAS-E35HD system stores up to 15,000 music tracks. It can also transfer tracks to MP3 players and mobile phones at up to 10x speed.

What is more interesting is that the Digital Jukebox solution has a capability to deliver music wirelessly to up to five client players. That means users can play different songs in each of the five zones. In contrast, the party mode ensures that the same music is played in all the rooms simultaneously.

Unfortunately information regarding pricing and availability is not known.
