Sanyo Zio by Kyocera - Cricket Wireless Mobile
Sanyo Zio by Kyocera DesignWe've been over this phone before, but a quick recap is in order. The Zio measures 4.6 by 2.3 by 0.5 inches (HWD) and weighs 3.7 ounces. It's made entirely of plastic, but the tapered edges and soft touch battery cover make it comfortable to hold. The 3.5-inch touch screen sports 480-by-800-pixel resolution. That's ultra-sharp for a budget Android phone—it's better than the Optimus C's resolution—and it matches the resolution of nearly all high-end Android devices on the major carriers. The plastic screen coating doesn't just feel greasy, it seems to create a delay between swiping your finger and the Zio actually responding. Kyocera still hasn't fixed the automatic dimming bug either, but if you crank the screen brightness manually, it looks vibrant. The trackball is useless in my opinion, but it's there if you need it, and I suppose it helps you avoid touching the screen on some occasions. Messaging and dialing numbers were also sluggish, thanks to the slight tapping delay.
