Samsung and O2 are launching a new mobile phone called Solid. The latest phone is water and dust resistant. Also it includes anti-shock capability and will come with a rubber body, which will protect the phone against fall.

Samsung claims that the phone will survive even in water splashes and from occasional knocks or drops. Hence the handset is useful for the athletes, tradesmen and other rough users.

Talking about its functions, the Solid is equipped with a built-in FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity, camera and a long life battery. The phone also has SOS dialing function that sends a text message to the chosen contact if the volume button is pressed thrice in quick succession. Once this alert is sent, the next call that comes is automatically answered.

A built-in flash light, WAP 2.0, SMS/MMS, Java, Mobile Tracker, GRPS Dual Band (900/1800Mhz) and VGA Camera are some of the other features of Samsungâ€™s Solid mobile phone.
