SAFETY IN YOUR HANDS
Accidents at work place can hapen to anybody anytime so ensure your personal safety.
Falls - falls are most common. avoid them by closing drawers after use, avoiding too much bending and twisting on the chair, treading carefullly on the staircase,cleaning up spills immediately, wearing shoes with non slippery soles etc;
Muscle strain - normally hapens due to lifting heavy objects improperly or improper sitting positions.. to avoid back injuries always maintain a proper posture while sitting, walking. try to know the correct way of picking up objects. try to avoid picking up very heavy objects.
Striking - against things due to carelessness results in unwarranted injuries. stock your things properly, be alert while walking,dont carry objects that block your view when walking, be careful while opening and closing doors.
Electrical hazards - elec.equipments if not handled carefully is dangerous Ensure that sparewires are not lying around on the ground
Chemical hazards - although there may not be too many hazardous chemicals in the workplace, try and find out how to deal with accidental exposure to chemicals.
Learn how to use and provide first aid if required. Stay alert and always remember prevention is better than cure!
