Humein yeh rooz-o-shub ka silsila acha nahi lugta

Kisi se baat kerna ho' koyi bhi zakhm bhurna ho

Kabhi beyhaal hoker koey jana se guzarna ho

Tumhari yaad mein rehna ho keh khud se mukurna ho

Kisi harf-e-tasali se yeh dil ka zakhm bhurna ho

Mohababt ki dowa honton pe rukh ke muskurana ho

Darakhtun pe tumahra naam likh ker bhool jana ho

Kisi beykhawaab shub mein chashm-e-weraan ko sulana ho

Tumhari kushboowon se kheema-e-jaaa'n ko sajana ho

Ya phir shehur-e-sakoot-e-shaam-e-ghum mein geet gana ho

Yunhi beywajha keefiyut mein ashkon ko bahana ho

Kisi jazbey ka bhi chehra humein sacha nahi lugta

KEH UB TAO ROOZ-O-SHUB KA SILSILA ACHA NAHI LUGTA
