Navin Mehta, vice president of Mobile TV and Applications Services for Motorola said, “Mobile TV is expected to grow significantly in 2008 and beyond and Motorola is in a unique position to mobilize the TV experience to deliver broadcast and personalized content wherever and whenever consumers want.” Adding, “The Motorola Mobile TV DH01 is the ultimate personal media player — it allows consumers to enjoy their viewing experience at their convenience. In other words the entertainment experience is changing from ‘broadcast time’ to ‘my time’.”
The pocket-sized device sports a 4.3-inch video screen and has a 5-minute memory buffer through which users can pause Live TV. In addition, Motorola’s Mobile TV claims to be compatible with memory cards that can store up to 90 minutes of video.
Apparently, the devices rechargeable battery supports four hours of playback time.
Seemingly, Motorola’s DH01 is compatible DVBH, a TV broadcast technology standard for mobile devices that is backed by mobile phone giant Nokia and European regulators.
The first glimpses of the all-new Motorola DH01 Mobile TV will be shown at the forthcoming CES 2008 event.
