Most Expensive British Car - 1929 Bentley

1929 Bentley become the most expensive British car as it was sold for £5,042,000 ($8 million US) at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It will probably be hard to keep his anonymity driving around in the classic ride.

The bright red sports car was once owned and raced by Sir Henry "Tiger Tim" Birkin. Birkin was a member of the famous Bentley Boys - a group of wealthy young men who raced British sports cars in the 1920s and 1930s. Birkin set a lap record in the car at the Brooklands Outer Circuit in 1931 when the Bentley hit a staggering 137mph.
