It seems a lot of enhancements are hitting the iPhone. After the release of iPhoneâ€™s update 1.1.3 featuring easier interface now there is news that iPhone manufacturer, Apple is in talks with IBM to develop Lotus Notes for the device. The Lotus Notes is an e-mail application, which is now especially being developed for iPhone and iPod Touch.

This e-mail software is based on the IBMâ€™s Domino e-mail server program. However, the iPhone is already equipped with web based e-mail service. But, IBM Lotus Notes promises to enhance the deviceâ€™s appeal to the corporate market.

The Lotus Notes for iPhone and iPod is expected to be available free for Lotus web-access license users. But rest of the users will have to pay $39 annually for IBMâ€™s e-mail software.

Up till now iPhone and iPod Touch were considered as devices for tech savvies. IBMâ€™s Lotus Notes might change the scenario and professionals may also begin to prefer iPhone.
