Hitachi has recently introduced its ultra-portable external USB Hard Drives lineup.This lineup includes three models, those are SimpleDrive, Rugged Drive, and Simple & Stylish Drive.These all drives are portable.The new Hitachi portable drives will be shipped to Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA Region).The first one is Hitachi SimpleDrive portable hard drive that is a 3.5-inch hard drive and it has a capacity of 2TB.Hitachi SimpleDrive is available in the capacities of 500GB, 1TB and 2TB.Hitachi SimpleDrive hard drive is manufactured in anodized aluminum, which provides efficient heat dissipation and it is characterized by low power consumption.Hitachi SimpleDrive hard drive is compatible with both PC and Mac computer.Hitachi Rugged Drive is combines the durability and ease of use, it has a durable waterproof shell, shockproof external hard drive and it is made truly mobile.

As noted by Hitachi, it can survive drops and blows more than any other external drive available on the market.The Hitachi Rugged Drive portable HDD can withstand loads up to 400G during the operation and up to 1000G during idle. Hitachi Rugged Drive portable hard drive is uses Hitachi TrueTrack, which provides highly accurate head positioning in terms of vibration and jolts.Hitachi Rugged Drive is available in the capacities of 320GB and 500GB.Hitachi Simple & Stylish Drive combines modern design with choice of several colors and decent reliability.

Hitachi Simple and Stylish Drive is available in the capacity of 320GB or a black carbon fiber enclosure in capacity of 500GB.Other than these portable hard drives Hitachi GST also announced the internal hard drives with mounting kit, Hitachi Internal Hard Drive Kit for self-assembling computers.The Hitachi Internal Hard Drive Kit includes instructions for installing, SATA cable and mounting screws.Its spindle speed drives are 5400rpm and 7200rpm with 32MB of cache memory.
