Grand Mascleta Napolitana – Fallas 2009: This was our first time to a mascleta napolitana, which are usually staged by Italian companies, and we were blown away. The location couldn’t have been better chosen — the huge open space of the beach with the harbor in the background provided the perfect setting. And the bright blue sky made the perfect backdrop for the explosions.
The show lasted nearly 20 minutes and included a lot of different elements, including colored smoke, insane whistling sounds, and even little figures which sailed down to earth after an explosion. Here some pictures of the Grand Mascletà Napolitana at Las Arenas beach and an exclusive video.
