Freescale E-Ink Colored eBook Reader
Freescale has joined with E-Ink Corporation to manufacturer a display based on electronic ink technology, to achieve color display potentially high definition for eBook readers.
The new screens will be based on the processor i.MX508, based on an ARM Cortex A8, the same used to display the E-Ink and E-Ink Pearl Triton.
This processor is capable of supporting resolutions up to 2048 x1536 pixels at 106 Hz, to ensure greater speed of use and allow for considerable energy savings.
