Epson Stylus Photo RX610 and RX690 Printers launched in India

Epson has announced the launch of the Epson Stylus Photo RX610 and the Stylus Photo RX 690 inkjet photo multifunction printers (MFP). These printers will be apt for photo enthusiasts as they offer superb print quality.

Both these printers use the Micro Piezo print head and Advanced Variable Sized Droplet Technology which control both speed and quality in printing.

The Epson Stylus Photo RX690, which can be used as a personal photo lab and a home office MFP, offers a copy speed of up to 40 pages per minute for both black text and color documents. Draft 4R photo prints can be printed out in around 12 seconds.

The Stylus Photo RX690 features dual paper trays for a combined paper holding capacity of 300 A4 sheets. For double-sided printing, users can choose the option of an auto-duplexer.

This printer offers a scan function that also provides some bit of fun. Users will be able to print directly onto any printable optical discs for a personalized collection of CDs and DVDs, sans the need for a PC.

The best part about the Stylus Photo RX690 printer is that is offers a number of PC-less connectivity options. Users can either connect PictBridge-enabled devices to this printer or they can choose from a variety of memory card options or USB Direct Print. Wireless printing is also possible using Bluetooth.

The Epson RX690 printer sports a 2.5-inch tiltable LCD screen which offers previews and automatic photo enhancement functions. There are also two sets of intuitive control buttons to easily access stored images and copy and scan functions.

The second printer launched by Epson in India is the Stylus Photo RX610 which offers printing speeds of up to 37ppm for A4 sized black text documents and 38ppm for color documents. Draft 4R prints are possible just 12 seconds.

The Epson Stylus Photo RX610 also offers a full card slot bay and PictBridge for PC-less connections. Users can also print wirelessly using the Bluetooth adaptor.

The Stylus Photo RX610 printer also sports a 2.5-inch crystal clear LCD screen. It also features two sets of intuitively located buttons, giving users access to navigation, print, scan and copy functions.

The Epson Stylus Photo RX690 and the RX610 printers are available in India for a price of Rs.14,500 and Rs.12,600 respectively.
