(EB) introduced a cellular voice enabled mobile Internet device (MID) that will run Intel's next-generation Moorestown mobile processor on the "Moblin v2 for MIDs".Meanwhile, Red Flag (Midinux) and Move Netorks (Media Player plug-in) announced support for Moorestown/Moblin MIDs.Elektrobit Moorestown based MID is a pocket-size reference device that is sleek in design and offers the computing power of today's PCs.features including wireless and PC original device and equipment manufacturers and wireless operators, the ability to bring a customized MID product to market faster and with lower development costs.
It is also featuring a 3.97-inch touch screen utilizing EB's Touch & Feel haptic feedback technology, and a Linux-based user interface.Elektrobit Moorestown based MID also offers high-definition quality video playback and HDMI connectivity.It comes with a number of applications (like EB's navigation software Street Director) and boasts flexible communication connections for voice, text, instant message clients, video, and more. The device also supports GPS, Wi-Fi, and Mobile WiMAX or HSPA wireless broadband connectivity.
