Flour 4 cups
Yeast 1 tbsp
Powdered milk 2 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Oil 4 tbsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Water to knead
Filling of your choice.
In a bowl mix together flour, salt, sugar, milk powder, yeast, oil and egg, knead to medium soft dough with water, leave to rise for 1 hour.
Flower Shaped Stuffed Dough
Divide the dough into 2 parts depending on how big you want.
Take 1 part and roll out the dough (like pizza) and spread the filling on it.
Roll out another dough ball and cut some flowers with cutter and keep flowers on the filling.
Brush the egg wash on flowers and bake it 10-15 minutes at 180 degree.
Roll out dough and cut into strips.
Generously grease a stain less steal bowl with butter or oil.
Drape dough strips over the top and sides of the bowl, making them evenly spaced.
Fold over every other strip.
Unfold the strips over this new piece. Then repeat with the strips that had not been folded over the last time.
Continue until the entire bowl is covered with the basket-weave.
Trim the strips to fit just to the bottom of the bowl.
Braid the three strips together, making the braid as tight as possible.
Brush water at the bottom of dough and patch the braid with the dough.
Line baking tray with parchment paper and shift covered bowl on it.
Bake at 180 degree for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Divide the dough into 15-16 parts and shape them into balls.
Roll out each ball to about 4" diameter.
Brush the circle with a little butter and make 4 diagonal slits, leaving the center intact.
Add filling in center.
Now take one of the sections and cover the side of the filling with it.
Take the opposite side's section and cover the other side of the filling with it.
Repeat with the other two sections.
Pinch the dough on the side to seal it.
Shift the prepared rolls on a greased tray.
Brush with beaten egg and bake at 180 degree for 15-20 minutes.
