Jade Empire for Xbox Logo When BioWareâ€™s Jade Empire came out on the Xbox in 2005, it was very well-received and since then rumors surrounding an Xbox 360 version of the game have been doing the rounds.

Now, according to a story by Mercury News, owners of the next-generation console will also be able to play the game. Jade Empire 2 for the Xbox 360 is currently under development at BioWare.

In fact, two years ago, Ray Muzyka, co-CEO of BioWare spilled the beans about the game.

Now, a certain someone has actually seen the code for the sequel to Jade Empire 2 and has confirmed the development of the game. It seems to point in the direction of the Xbox 360 console.

Interestingly, a Special Edition PC version of Jade Empire was released in the early part of 2007. The game was actually based on the Limited Edition of Jade Empire for the Xbox platform.

But, it is yet not known whether the upcoming Jade Empire 2 game will see a release on the PC platform. Meanwhile, the launch date for Jade Empire 2 on the Xbox 360 console yet remains a mystery.
