NEW DELHI: A Faizabad court on Friday quashed Bollywood actor and Samajwadi Party sympathiser Amitabh BachchanÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s review petition that he be accorded farmer status as he owned agricultural land in Barabanki.

The Mulayam Singh government had allotted the actor 70,000 sq feet of agricultural land.

In its ruling, the commissioner court on Friday that the agricultural land allotted to Bachchan did not belong to him.

According to reports, the Faizabad commissioner has also called for an inquiry to check the actorÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s farmer status
