Arrival of Imam KABA at Pakistan

Mian Amer has informed that Imam-e-Kaaba Doctor Abdul Rehman Al-Sudais is arriving in the provincial capital today

District Nazim Mian Amer Mahmood has informed that Imam-e-Kaaba Doctor Abdul Rehman Al-Sudais is arriving in the provincial capital today (Tuesday). He is scheduled to land at Lahore Air Port in the evening, just before Maghrib Prayers. Chairing a meting to review arrangmetns for his reception at Jinnah Hall Monday, Mian Amer Mahmood informed that Imam-e-Kaaba willbe accorded protocol of a state guest during this visit. On his landing at lahore Air Port, a large number of citizens as well as government representatives including Chaudhry Shujat Hussian, Chief Minster Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and provincial ministers will receive him. The City District Government has decorated the entire route of the state dignitary, from Lahore Air Port to the State Guest House. It has displayed colorful hoardings, banners, bill boards and portraits of President Perveiz Musharraf, Chief Minister Pervez Elahi and Imam-e-Kaaba to bedeck the entire route, he told.

District Nazim Mian Amer Mahmood informed that Imam Kaba will lead the Fajjar prayer at Jamia Ashrafia at around 4 am on 30th May, Wednesday as well as on 31 May Thursday. For this purpose, arrangements for 60,000 intending prayer offerers have been made. Prayer mats would be spread along FC College and Zahoor Elahi Road by opening back door of Jamia Ashrafia. Separate Prayer arrangements have been made for women in the adjacent Abu Dhabi Palace. Canal Bank Road would be closed for public transport 3 hours before the prayer time,he added. He said that CDGL has established a control room for making fool proof securityarrangements besides ensuring uninterrupted supply of electricity, water and other civic services at Jamia Ashrafia, in connection with the event.

All the federal, provincial and district level service providing agencies have been asked to pool their resources and manpower for making befitting arrangements on the occasion. LESCO, WASA, Solid Waste Management, SUI GAS, Rescue 1122 and Police departments have deployed senior officers at the control roomwith a view to facilitating the people. He informed that big screens and proper sound system would also be installed at different sides of the mosque so that majority of people could listen to the sermon of great Imam after Fajr prayer.Parking arrangement for vehicles would be made at Gaddafi Stadium and shuttle services would be provided to Nimazis from stadium to Jamia. Some 250 staffers of civil defence will be deployed with the police officials and security walk through gates and close circuit TV cameras will also be the part of tightened fool proof security.

The citizens have been asked not to carry hand bags, cell phones and cameras due to the security reason. Imam is scheduled to address Ulema at Aiwan-e-Iqbal at around 10 am where he would also distribute certificates among them.He will lead the Maghrib prayer in Badshahi Mosque the same day and after that hewill address from the citizens.The next day on31st of May Thursday, he would again lead Fajr prayers at Jamia Ashrafia.

He would attend the meeting of Punjab Quran Board at Chief Minster house besides having lunch at GovernorÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s house. He will leave for Islamabad in a special flight the same evening.
