iPad 2 New Tablet PC - Specs and Images
Apple iPad 2 is the latest Tablet PC with new design and is thinner and lighter than the previous version. The 1.3-pound 8.8mm thin tablet has built-in rear 720p HD and front VGA camera and includes the new Apple A5 dual-core processor, up to 2x faster than the A4 used in the first iPad. Also, graphics processing is up to 9x faster, while the battery life is 10 hours, as same as in the iPad 1.
Apple iPad 2 display size remained the same – 9.7 inches. The multitouch display uses IPS technology and has 1024-by-768 pixel resolution. The device comes with Wi-Fi or with Wi-Fi + 3G connections, 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, built-in Bluetooth and gyroscope, while chassis color choices are black and white. 3G connectivity supports AT&T and Verizon networks.
Apple iPad 2 got the new version of iOS operating system – the iOS 4.3 – with increased Safari browser performance, iTunes home sharing, AirPlay technology improvements, FaceTime video conferencing, and personal hotspot functionality for tethering with iPhone 4. The tablet supports 1080p HD video playback on an external display via an HDMI adapter and has a built-in speaker.
Apple also announced the Smart Cover, an accessory that protects iPad's screen and can be used as a stand. Apple’s iPad 2 will be available starting from March 11th. Prices range from $499 to $829.
