Aircell Android Smartphone To Use In Flights

Aircell, the only company in the United States authorized by the FCC and FAA to use the 800 MHz frequency band for calls during flights, announced its first smartphone. The phone is simply called Aircell Smartphone and uses the Android operating system, a testament to the success of Google OS.

This Aircell Smartphone will allow passengers to make and receive phone calls during business flights, the phone has a 3.8-inch touch display, Bluetooth, alphanumeric keyboard and built-in audio jack. The Aircell Smartphone will be available in late 2011, initially only on flights in the United States.
