Lord reveal your thoughts
And direct my pen.
Let your words shine through,
From deep within.

Your words flow like milk and honey,
So smooth and, oh, so free -
When I wait upon your Spirit
To be a gentle guide for me.
I sit in quiet solitude
As I wait for you to reveal
Those words of wisdom given me;
So gentle, kind, and real.

Let the poets praise Your Holy Name
With words of song and rhyme.
Open up our ears to hear your voice
And inspiration, so divine.
Remind us to give you the credit, Lord,
For every single word we write -
Because, without Your inspiration,
We'd be as candles without light.
